Jarrod and Tric have been wonderful with my elderly
mother and her dog Dooney. Dooney is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
that Mom got as a 7 month old puppy in the winter of 2007. At the time
Mom got Dooney she lived on her own and was battling early dementia.
Jarrod helped Mom with Dooney's obedience training but often went well
beyond the normal business requirements. Besides being knowledgeable
about dogs and their business, both Tric and Jarrod are "people
people". In late spring 2008 Mom was in an auto accident which
required a 10 day hospital stay followed by a move into an Assisted
Living facility. Tric and Jarrod immediately took on boarding and care
of Dooney while I was able to get Mom resettled, and most recently
they have been instrumental in making it possible for Dooney to become
the newest "resident" with my Mom in the AL facility. This took
tremendous amounts of personal care and attention.....and on top of
all that they were extremely patient and supportive to me, who
probably drove them nuts with my many many questions (I'm not really a
"dog person", so there was a lot for me to figure out in a short
period of time).
Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend Pawsitive Pooches to
anyone looking for help with their 4 legged canine friends, or even
their owners.

I want to say how totally satisfied with the boarding services
Pawsitive Pooches has provided for my boxer dog Taggert. We have owned
dogs for the last forty years and have moved to several cities. In
each place I have sought a personalized “home boarding situation” for
my pets. Pawsitive Pooches is up there with the best of what I have
found. Jarrod and Tric customize everything as necessary for my aging
dog. When he returns home, he is relaxed and immaculate. This is how I
know his care has been the very best. Jarrod and Tric are also
generous about sharing information about dog training and behaviour,
which has helped me greatly, and, I know, their knowledge helps
Taggert.

Pawsitive Pooches has made a tremendous impact on my dog Cassius'
behavior as well as our relationship as owner and pet. They helped me
realize that I needed to retrain my thought process and behavior
before dealing with Cassius to get the behavior I was looking for out
of him. I have more then a full time job and felt neglectful at times
since Cassius doesn't have any other dogs in my house to socialize
with. I attempted to put him in 2 other daycare facilities which did
not work out so well. Now, thanks to Pawsitive Pooches, he socializes
great with other dogs, listens to and obeys me on my first attempt in
giving direction, and now has a better understanding of his role in my
life resulting in a much stronger bond between the two of us. From
experience I can honestly say that I would not trust anyone else to be
as positive of an influence on Cassius and myself as Jarrod and Trish
have been! Jarrod and Trish, thank you so much for everything you have
done for us!

Ever since the lessons we took from Jarrod at Pawsitive Pooches (I
think it was more of what Judith and I learned than Oreo, our Pointer)
he has been absolutely fantastic on walks. Most walks are 99% bark
free. And even when Oreo does bark it fails in comparison to his old
nasty growl. Additionally, he is doing great with our new baby,
Alister, around the house. Thank you again for all your help!

At last we have no more 5AM wake up demands from our
11 year old toy poodle. For years, Teddy was relentless despite our
best efforts to get him back to sleep. His early morning antics
resulted in our difficulty to get back to sleep. After following
Pawsitive Pooches advice, in about one week, he finally got the
message and now gets up with my husband in the morning. Thank you,
Jarrod for your wonderful training of Teddy to get up in the morning
when we do!

Within the first visit from Pawsitive Pooches I could see a change in
Snickers’ demeanor. After an hour of training I was walking my dog
instead of him walking me. Soon Snickers was sitting and laying down
on command. I couldn't believe that just a few weeks earlier this was
the same dog that was tearing apart carpeting and nipping at people.
Jarrod took an obstreperous dog and trained him to be obedient. I
can't believe that at one point I considered giving up Snickers
because I couldn't take his destructive behavior and now thanks to the
amazing training he's had, he is the sweetest dog and my best friend.
There aren't enough words to say how wonderful the training was and
continues to be for Snickers, and he learns more with each session.
Pawsitive Pooches is Snickers’ second home and he loves spending time
and learning from the staff.

Pawsitive Pooches is simply the best!! The improvements in our Border
Collie are phenomenal, our lives have been forever changed. We had an
unruly, aggressive puppy that was making our neighbors, herself, and
us miserable. After the first hour spent with Jarrod, there was a
difference. Each session provided leaps of improvements; he gave us
tools to teach and discipline. He is a most effective educator of
animals and owners. Before Jarrod, we were questioning how we could
keep such an unmanageable pet; then Jarrod worked his magic. (Which is
really knowledge, patience, love, and appreciation for dogs) He is
responsible for our family order and pleasure. We now have a happy,
well-mannered dog to enjoy. We can take her anywhere! Everywhere we go
people stop to brag on her behavior. Thank you Pawsitive Pooches, you
are responsible for the wonderful experiences we have daily with our
newest member of the family. We are forever grateful.

We had a dog in our earlier years, not well trained. We have a dog in
our golden years and our goals have changed. We love our dog and we
want others to love Max too. We know good behavior is learned and we
are incredibly grateful to friends for recommending Pawsitive Pooches.
With Jarrod’s gentle and insightful direction we are learning so much
about training Max (age 7 months). It is encouraging and exciting to
see Max’s progress. People we pass on our walks think so too. We have
shared Pawsitive Pooches’ name with others who also want a well
behaved dog.

David and I met with Jarrod last year concerning our dogs (Australian
Shepherds) barking while left outside unattended. After our first
meeting with Jarrod, we were able to notice improvements in both
Bandit and Buster's behavior. Jarrod is extremely knowledgeable about
dog behavior and obedience and we have recommended his services to
many other dog owners. We could not more highly recommend Pawsitive
Pooches.
